Winter Camp - Parents

Hey Parents! If you are interested in going to Winter Camp with the team this year, Dec. 28-30th, please let me know as soon as you can.  We currently have 4 parents and 4 coaches going, but can always use a few extra hands, especially if the weather is cold.  Let me know if you have interest, and do not worry if you have never skied before, we can help you on that!!

Videos

I have created another Page on the right side of the Blog, "You Tube Videos" in which I will be putting links to videos for the World Cup and Olympic races that are going to happen during the season. This is a test for me with this blog, so please let me know if you notice any issues with this.  But, this is a great way to see what the best skiers in the world are doing and an opportunity to analyze their technique, which is one way to improve, watching how others ski.

Trail Passes for Wirth

The school district is paying for the skiers to have trail passes at both Three Rivers Parks and Minneapolis Parks, which includes Theodore Wirth Park.  The skiers need  to go to this link, Sign Up through the public pass sales page and use the promotion code below to receive the discounted price. The group line items with the discounts are at the end of the list.  It is the second to the last option.  Just select the number of passes you will need.  We are limited though on the number of passes, so we cannot get a pass for more than the number of skiers we have on the team.

Code for Coon Rapids is: incoonsnow

It will say that it costs $75, but once you enter the code at the top of the page, when you click on Continue and move onto the next page, the cost will go to $0.  It will seem a little confusing at first, but is quite simple once you get going.

Schedule Changes

There have been a few changes to the schedule for this season.  I have changed them on the Meet Schedule as well as the Calendar, but have them posted below as well.  Two of these were made by the Conference, and the ABC Relay's was decided on by the ABC Coaches, due to the fact that Wirth is under construction still on their new building and there is a wedding in the main chalet the day that we are to have the Relay's, thus, no indoor facility for the skiers and buses will be parked nearly a mile away from the start/finish area.

Saturday, Jan 13, ABC Relay's, location changed to the Mora Vasaloppet Center just north of downtown Mora.  This is a location that makes their own snow, plus two to three buildings on site and parking.

The races on Wednesday, Jan 24 and Thursday, Jan 25 have been changed to the following dates and locations:
Tuesday, Jan. 23, Elm Creek, Classic
Wednesday, Jan. 24, Baker Park, Skate

We are still going to Battle Creek tomorrow morning for we will be able to get a much better overall workout then skiing at Elm.
